Working Holiday

        Today I heard nice presentation about Working Holiday. It awakes my experience that I had prepared Working Holiday once before. When heard Working Holiday 4 years ago, I was surprised at that time; because, I thought that Working Holiday give me lots of opportunities. From that time I had prepared some documents and my bank accounts to get Working Holiday Visa from Australia Embassy; however, in the middle of getting information about Working Holiday, I had realized that Working Holiday has not only opportunities but risks. Furthermore, those risks are quite serious than I had expected. This essay is based on my experience.
        “Working + Holiday” what a nice sound is it? Before gotten negative side, I just thought and considered about opportunities of Working Holiday such as making foreign friends, trip abroad, earning money and improving English skill; however, had been getting information bit by bit, I had realized that there are a few students who had gotten opportunities. It means many of students, who had gotten and experienced Working Holiday, had been disappointed with their Working Holiday. I have a friend who has studied at Macquarie University in Sydney. He told me his Working Holiday experiences such as minimum wage, hard to get a part time job, hard to study with working, hard to make foreign friends, gambling and prostitution, and he had suggested that it is better to go to England to study English and experience lot of culture. From that time I just thought why I have to go to abroad and which more efficacious way is. At last I decided England to study English. As you know, studying English in England is much expensive than Australia, and there is no Working Holiday; however, I thought that just concentrate on study English without working is more efficacious way and saving time and saving money. Even England has a quite good system than the others to manage study and working. It is just needed to work in England with student visa. Just visiting Social Security near your house and conducting speaking test, and getting National Insurance Number that is all. If you get a National Insurance Number, you can work with student visa 20-hour a week legitimately.
        Simply put, my personal opinion is that before going to abroad to study, please make sure what is your aim, then getting information and make your itinerary. Without itinerary and information, there is no opportunity. An indefinite plan means an indefinite life.

2018 Pyeong-Chang Olympic Winter Games

          At last, Pyeong-Chang won to host the 2018 Winter Olympics last summer. As you know, Winter Olympic Games is one of the most famous competitions in the world. When heard this news, I have welcomed this Olympic with open arms. The reason is that I am really enjoying the winter sports. It has resulted in much controversy, where some support this Olympics; otherwise, others strongly oppose it. So, this essay will put forward both sides of impacts.
          There is plausible reason why I am strongly positive side. The first reason is that This Olympics will come with lots of advantages such as KTX rail road, facilities, increasing image and investment. Especially, KTX will get biggest affection for Pyeong-Chang due to the fact that it can reduce the time consuming from airport to Pyeong-Chang. It means that Pyeong-Chang could get more tourists like other parts of Korea.
          On the other hand, there is also negative side such as traffic jam, lack of transportation, and destroying mountains. The biggest negative is destroying natures. I am really worrying about destroying Gariwang-mountain. One of reason is that lots of natural monument will disappear in our society, if we develop the downhill race slope in this mountain. 
          Simply put, Pyeong-Chang has no choice whether conduct this Olympics or not; because, Pyeong-Chang has a responsibility for conduct this Olympics successfully. Therefore in my personal opinion is that Pyeong-Chang just thinks and concentrates on how well conducting this Olympics. Thinking is waste for Pyeong-Chang at this time.

Audition Boom in Korea

  Nowadays there are various kinds of audition shows in Korea. For example, Superstar K, Korea’s got talent, A great birth and Project run way Korea, furthermore the TV stars has taken part in these flow. ”I am a singer” it is one of good example. Compared to other countries, most of audition style programs have been released in a quiet short time. Besides, existing program have been changed toward audition show gradually. How it can be possible for changing TV program paradigm toward audition style dramatically? The answer is vicarious satisfaction. Most of viewers have a sort of dream that is to be a TV star. Before this paradigm, Most of viewer can only watch TV without participation. But it can make viewers taking part in those auditions and be a TV star. Furthermore, the stories of winner’s difficulty background touch sensibility of viewer’s. These kinds of points make audition program popularity.

 Meanwhile, there are two major problems that we have to consider. First, disappearing right of viewer’s channel choice, many broadcasting companies compete with others. It causes side effect that is flood of audition programs in golden time from 6-pm to 10-pm. It means you can choose what you want in this time, because every channel broadcast audition programs. It is sort of pollution. Second, cannot find anywhere the creativity of audition programs. Actually, most of audition programs in Korea have been imported from UK or States. Even the name and emblem are totally same with origin one. Especially, “Korea’s got talent”, “Dancing with the stars in Korea” and “Opera star” are most representative examples. It means there is no effort to make a decent for viewers. Just make lots of audition program without creativity and consideration.
